Outpatient Fentanyl Addiction Treatment

Specialized care for fentanyl addiction, including ambulatory detox, high-intensity outpatient, and intensive outpatient programs.

If fentanyl use has taken control, help is available.

What We Treat

Fentanyl Addiction Treatment (Outpatient)

We treat individuals struggling with fentanyl addiction and opioid use disorder who are able to receive care at the outpatient level.

Fentanyl addiction often affects far more than substance use alone. Many people come to us experiencing loss of control, strained relationships, work or school disruption, and repeated attempts to stop using without success. Others reach out after a close call, growing concern from loved ones, or fear of what continued use may lead to.

At PRC, treatment focuses on stabilizing individuals, reducing risk, and helping them regain structure and control without inpatient admission. Care is designed for people who need real clinical support while continuing to live at home and remain connected to daily life.

If fentanyl use has started to take over, outpatient treatment may be the right next step.

What Premiere Recovery Center Treats for Fentanyl Addiction

Why Fentanyl Addiction Escalates So Quickly

Fentanyl addiction can develop faster and feel harder to escape than many other substances. Understanding why can help explain what’s happening and why professional support often becomes necessary.

How Fentanyl Addiction Treatment at Premiere Recovery Center Works

How Treatment Works at PRC

PRC provides structured, outpatient treatment for fentanyl addiction, designed to help individuals stabilize, reduce risk, and begin recovery without inpatient admission. Care is personalized and based on clinical assessment, current level of use, and individual needs.

1. Assessment and Clinical Planning

Treatment begins with a comprehensive assessment to understand fentanyl use patterns, physical and mental health considerations, and the appropriate level of outpatient care.
This process allows our clinical team to determine whether ambulatory detox, high-intensity outpatient, or intensive outpatient treatment is the right starting point. Care plans are adjusted as progress is made.

2. Outpatient Withdrawal Management (Ambulatory Detox)

For individuals experiencing fentanyl withdrawal, PRC provides outpatient withdrawal management, also known as ambulatory detox.
This approach allows patients to receive medical oversight and support while continuing to live at home. Withdrawal management focuses on safety, symptom stabilization, and preparing individuals to engage fully in ongoing outpatient treatment.

3. Medication-Assisted Treatment and Therapy

Medication-assisted treatment (MAT) is incorporated when clinically appropriate to help reduce cravings, manage withdrawal symptoms, and support stability.
Treatment also includes evidence-based therapeutic approaches that address the behavioral and psychological aspects of fentanyl addiction. Many individuals also receive support for co-occurring mental health concerns as part of their outpatient care.

4. Structured Outpatient Programs

Following stabilization, patients participate in structured outpatient treatment through high-intensity outpatient or intensive outpatient programs.
These programs provide consistent clinical support while allowing individuals to continue working, attending school, and living at home. The goal is to help patients build stability, develop coping strategies, and maintain progress in real-world environments.

5. Continuity of Care and Ongoing Support

Recovery does not end after the first phase of treatment. PRC focuses on continuity of care to support long-term progress and reduce the risk of relapse.
Patients receive guidance and support as they move through treatment and into the next stages of recovery.

Programs Available for Fentanyl Addiction Treatment

We offer multiple outpatient treatment options for fentanyl addiction. The appropriate program depends on clinical assessment, withdrawal needs, and the level of structure required for stability and progress.

A clinical assessment helps determine which outpatient program is the right fit at each stage of treatment.

Outpatient Detox (Ambulatory Withdrawal Management)

Outpatient detox, also known as ambulatory withdrawal management, provides medical oversight and support for individuals experiencing fentanyl withdrawal without inpatient admission.
This program is designed to help manage withdrawal symptoms safely while allowing patients to remain at home. Outpatient detox focuses on stabilization and preparing individuals to engage in structured outpatient treatment.

High-Intensity Outpatient Program

The high-intensity outpatient program is designed for individuals who need a higher level of structure and clinical support while remaining in an outpatient setting.
This program includes frequent treatment engagement and close clinical oversight, making it appropriate for individuals early in recovery or those who need additional support following withdrawal management.

Intensive Outpatient Program (IOP)

The intensive outpatient program (IOP) provides ongoing treatment and support for fentanyl addiction as individuals continue building stability.
IOP allows patients to participate in structured treatment while continuing to work, attend school, and live at home. This level of care helps individuals strengthen coping strategies, address underlying challenges, and maintain progress in recovery.

When Detox Is Needed vs Ongoing Treatment

Not everyone struggling with fentanyl addiction needs withdrawal management at the same point in treatment. The right starting place depends on current use, physical dependence, and overall stability.

Detox is typically needed when someone is experiencing fentanyl withdrawal symptoms or is unable to stop using safely without medical support. In these cases, outpatient withdrawal management (ambulatory detox) focuses on stabilization and safety before deeper therapeutic work begins.

Ongoing treatment is appropriate once withdrawal symptoms are managed or when an individual is medically stable enough to engage directly in structured outpatient care. At this stage, treatment focuses on building consistency, addressing underlying drivers of use, and supporting long-term progress through high-intensity outpatient or intensive outpatient programs.

When Detox Is Needed vs Ongoing Treatment

A clinical assessment helps determine whether withdrawal management is the right first step or whether treatment can begin with ongoing outpatient care. When detox is needed, it is approached as part of a broader treatment plan—not a standalone solution.

Another important element of our holistic approach is family therapy

Most fentanyl addiction patients are young people. They need family support. We work with families to teach them how to best help the addicted family member to get and stay clean from fentanyl use

Patient Housing

We understand that in some instances and for a variety of reasons, it’s better for the patient’s well-being during treatment to not stay in their own home. We offer luxurious homes for these patients to reside in during treatment, if they so choose.

Our homes are located in Pleasant Valley (women) and Happy Valley (men). They are massive, spacious, upscale, quiet, private, clean-and-sober homes with every conceivable amenity to ensure your comfort and help ease the challenges of a fentanyl recovery program.

Transitional Housing

We are affiliated with Premiere Sober Living, a transitional housing facility. Some patients benefit from living in clean-and-sober environments during and after treatment.
